S Automation was founded on June 1, 2009, in the middle of a recession. Its founders, Maurice Chevarie and David Demers, had an idea in mind: during the economic slowdown when company’s sales are down and many are limiting their expenses, the ones that would rise to the top in the future would be those that had invested in optimizing their material and human resources to come out ready in terms of productivity when the economy turns around. Their idea quickly gained ground. They started working with successful manufacturing companies that shared their vision, to the extent that S Automation enjoyed rapid success and built a strong reputation in industrial optimization, particularly in robotics. Its list of clients hasn’t stopped growing since. After six months in business, the company already had seven engineers and technicians with many years of experience in the field. The Automation Division was soon created, and S Automation began implementing many of the optimization concepts used in industrial robotics. S Automation’s business model of attracting, keeping, and training the best available human resources while establishing strategic partnerships with its clients works. Growth has therefore been an ongoing reality at S Automation since it was founded. In January 2011, the company and its 15 team members started getting involved in development projects-all related to the green economy (clean tech). Many of its investments today focus on concrete innovative products that meet the needs of the market. Since 2011, S Automation has also been operating abroad to offer its highly technical services and expand its recruitment base. In early 2013, S Automation had become a company of 20 people with more than 5 additional positions to be filled. We have an exceptional capacity to adapt and our dynamic and diversified team, with a powerful combination of technical knowledge, positions S Automation as a leader in the industry.
