Lufthansa Consulting and its business unit airline operation offers clients a wide range of services. These focus on: Safety and regulatory compliance, particularly European Aviation Safety Agency regulations (EASA) and former Joint Aviation Requirements (JAR) and Operations performance and efficiency, as well as on-time performance. Here, the main emphasis is on interfaces between airlines, airports and Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs). In addition to process design and improvements, we offer cost potential analysis and implementation for flight operations, flight training, and flight support functions. Implementation training is provided, where appropriate. Special emphasis is placed on quality assurance principles as required by the European Joint Aviation Requirements (JAR-OPS). The underlying premise is that safety is the overall driver behind these initiatives. For governments and aviation authorities, we provide comprehensive support in adopting JAR-OPS requirements and modern Quality Management Systems. Furthermore, we have spe-cialist expertise in reorganizing airline operations, aviation authorities and air traffic service providers. The review and development of regulations, standards, and procedures, in compliance with international and national regulatory requirements, is also part of the overall analysis and implementation process. Improving the entire operational network that handles the daily communication between airlines, airports, air traffic management and ground service providers – e.g. a hub control center – opens up potential for significant efficiency enhancements. Our on-time performance approach plays an integral part in delivering significant gains in terms of punctuality and adopted processes.
