Kodiak Robotics says this latest edition of its autonomous semi-trucks has all the necessary redundant safety-critical hardware.

The United States Army and the Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) awarded Kodiak Robotics with a 24-month, $49.9 million contract in October.

Kodiak said the funding will be used to double its headcount, expand autonomous trucking services from coast-to-coast, and add more vehicles to its fleet.
